Our Mottos

Upon the founding of the Ikeda Center, then called the Boston Research Center for the 21st Century, in 1993, Daisaku Ikeda bestowed upon us these mottos: Be the heart of a network of global citizens! Be a bridge for dialogue between civilizations! Be a beacon lighting the way to a century of life! These express the goals of the Center, both small and large, near and far. In all situations we bring an open heart to the cause of bringing people together, helping to make connections across differences and to creatively unite in the shared values that lead to ever-expanding cultures of peace.
