The Ikeda Center for Peace, Learning, and Dialogue, the Soka Institute for Global Solutions, the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, and the Harvard Graduate School of Education will be co-organizing a conference in the spring of 2025 to empower and provide the tools for educators to teach nuclear disarmament to the youth of today. The conference serves as the beginning of a sustained and collaborative engagement to bring together educators, reimagine education as a means to prevent nuclear war in the near term and abolish nuclear weapons in the long term, and instill in young students a sense of shared responsibility and commitment to secure the future of our humanity’s peaceful existence in the world.
